Taos High School 2009 Graduation Highlight

One hundred ninety-four Taos youth celebrated the end of life as THS students and the beginning an unknown life beyond high school during the 2009 Commencement ceremony at Anaya Field, Saturday, May 30. In her Valedictorian speech, Juman Khweis emphasized "book learning needs to be combined with practical applications," Salutatorian Taylor Zangara asked fellow students to "remember their classmates. " Student Body President Mixcoatl Rosete's "their future had never been brighter" insight prepared the way for student speaker Edwin Steimling's "their future is now the present" summary.
